Our group Christmas meal today was fab. The food was piping hot, nicely presented, plenty of it , tasty, with first class service, very cosy , great atmosphere and very friendly staff. We would 100% recommend it .

My meat lasagne,garlic bread chips was delicious,cheese and bacon burger was great,husband had rump steak was brilliant.all meals had lovely chunky chips all the food was very hot.

Our go to Sunday lunch spot. Great value and good quality food. Very tentative friendly staff. Recommend to book in advance as it’s quite popular. Deserts are a must.

First time visiting. Lovely little pub, cozy & homely. Good variety on the menu & reasonably priced. We ordered the the creamy garlic mushrooms from the starters, it was nice but very soggy. The Halloumi, Aubergine & Mushroom burger, I thought this would be all in one kinda a patty but it wasn't it was 2 battered halloumi burgers with a slice of aubergine in between with mushrooms on the side, it was OK, very greasy, personally think it would have been nicer with just one halloumi burger, some salad on the burger & something like a chilli jam, asked for chunky chips & received sweet potatoe fries, it was a nice meal not sure I would order again. We also ordered the 10oz rump steak, asked for blue & it was cooked to perfection. Very generous portion sizes, good value for money, would definitely recommend & revisit.

What a lovely meal. Dropped in without booking and as I was alone i got a table straight away! Good friendly service and a wonderful Beef Dinner with fresh veg! And a Lemon Meringue to finish. I'll definitely be back!

Would come here every night for dinner if I could. 💜 Lovely service - always helpful, friendly and attentive. Nice big portions of good food (chunky chips are lush!) Reasonably priced with free parking nearby and close to the bus station if you fancy a drink. Well worth a visit

We came for our works Christmas party as it was recommended by one of our girls. We all had the 2 or 3 course Christmas menu, the starters were meals in themselves! Most had the turkey and trimmings and all commented how nice the food was, I had a salmon dish as I had a Christmas meal the night before and it was delicious, piping hot and lots of it. The sweets were also generous portions and delicious too. Service was good and staff polite and helpful. Great evening much nicer than the Christmas meal I had the night before at a highly rated country club in the Midlands!

Great food, plenty of choice, really good portions, good value for money. Service is pleasant and premises always clean. Cask ales and all the usual drinks fare available.
